Associate Director
Symon joined Advent in 2007 and is responsible for all aspects
of investments including development, evaluation, financing and
execution of investments, monitoring of portfolio companies,
and assisting with portfolio company acquisitions.
Prior to joining the firm, Symon worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions
Group
of KPMG Corporate Finance. In that capacity, he advised on a
range of transactions involving acquisitions, divestitures, MBOs, MBIs
and expansion capital deals for strategic and private equity clients
across a variety of industries. Prior to M&A, Symon began his career
at KPMG working extensively with companies assisting them with
performance improvement and planning, business and debt
restructurings, and other strategic and financial issues. Symon
holds a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University and
a Bachelor of Commerce from Melbourne University. He is an
Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a Senior
Associate of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. |
