Mark Jago

Investment Director

Mark joined Advent in early 2009 and has lead various aspects of the investment cycle including deal origination, due diligence, execution, structuring and investment management. He led Advent's Investment in Genesis Care and is currently a director of Genesis Care and TR Corp.

Mark brings a wealth of experience to the role of Investment Director, most recently as Director of ANZ Private Equity where he was responsible for the group's Victorian and South Australian operations. Over a 3-year period, Mark played a leading role in over 10 investments and 4 exits, with an average gross IRR greater than 40.0% and a cash multiple of over 2x. His previous role as Portfolio Director included overseeing the performance and improvement of over 50 companies. He also possesses 6 years of strategic consulting experience gained with Bain & Company. Bain & Co. is globally recognised for working with companies that outperform the stock market by 4:1. Mark played a leading role in over 12 major assignments, including turnarounds, diagnosis and strategy development for major corporations in Australia, Korea and South Africa. Prior to Bain & Co., Mark spent over 3 years with Unilever in operational management roles across multiple disciplines.

Mark holds a First Class Honours degree in Engineering/Commerce from Monash University.
