Mark Jago

Investment Director

Mark joined Advent in early 2009 and brings to the role of Investment Director a wealth of experience; most recently as Director of the ANZ Private Equity where he was responsible for the Victorian and South Australian operations of the group. His initial role of Portfolio Director with ANZ Private Equity included overseeing the performance and improvement of more than fifty portfolio companies. 

Mark also has over six years of strategic consulting experience gained with Bain & Company.  While working for Bain, Mark was involved on more than twelve major assignments, including turnarounds, diagnosis, and strategy development for leading Australian corporations in Australia, Korea and South Africa.  He has experience in industry sectors ranging from telecommunications to manufacturing to fast moving consumer goods.   Prior to Bain, Mark was employed by Unilever for 3 years in a number of roles, focusing on new business opportunities. Mark also worked as a mechanical engineer after graduating with a First Class Honors in Engineering/Commerce from Monash University.
