Genesis Care is a national network of premium cardiology (HeartCare) and radiation oncology practices (CancerCare)

Genesis Care targets the two largest health problems in Australia. Cancer and coronary disease account for approximately 65% of all cause mortality and about 20% of total health expenditure ($7B). The company has cardiology practices in Qld, Vic, SA, WA. It also has radiation oncology practices in NSW and SA. There are over 450 employees, including ~60 doctors who work at over 50 locations (major capital cities and regional centres).  Management and the doctors rolled their equity into the new structure, with the syndicated debt package and Advent's investment funding the remainder of the acquisition.  Advent’s investment in 2009 included additional funds to support an agreed expansion strategy.
