Regency is a replicator of cassettes, CDs and DVDs. Advent’s investment
in
November 2000 provided expansion capital to fund the acquisition of
three new
DVD replicator lines, helping the business achieve strong revenue and earnings
growth. In 2003, Regency entered into a joint venture with AAV Limited, effectively
doubling the size of its business and positioning itself as a dominant independent
player in the market. The AAV Regency joint venture has created, under a single
management structure, Australasia’s most experienced, locally owned electronic
media manufacturing business covering DVD and CD replication and VHS and
audiocassette duplication, packaging, design and distribution logistics.
AAVR’s scale of technology is significant and delivers an electronic manufacturing
output of over 40 million DVDs, 25 million CDs, 12 million videocassettes and
10 million audiocassettes. This output, combined with
unparalleled expertise
and experience in the Australasian market, enables
them to meet any level
of manufacturing required by their clients.
In February 2006, Regency contracted
to acquire AAV’s share of the joint venture.
